Letter to the Editor: Takes White House to task on embassy attack

I cannot believe that any government would send an ambassador to a volatile area with no protection. Christopher Stevens and three brave Americans were tortured and brutally murdered a few weeks ago.

When this administration got the news about the four Americans being killed, they immediately concocted a story blaming a video rather than admitting that a terrorist attack had occurred on the president’s watch.

The morning after the attack, the Libyan president told the White House that the attack on the U.S. Embassy was a planned attack by terrorists.

The White House immediately put out a statement delivered by Hillary Clinton that the attack had nothing to do with the administration’s policies, but was due to a video.

For a week, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice echoed the same. A few days later, President Obama slipped at a conference and used the word terrorist attack, but at the UN, his speech was replete with condemnations regarding the video. What a dichotomy; either the president is naïve or believes he can easily fool the public.

In response to the U.S. Embassy attack and the turmoil in the Middle East, President Obama appeared on the David Letterman show where he said he did not know what the deceit was when he took office.

It seems as if this administration attended the Joseph Goebbels University of Propaganda. Unfortunately, no one calls the president on these untruths, so I would like to call him on them now.
