C&F Bank and Chick-fil-A are teaming up to raise awareness for children and adults in the area in need of shoes by sponsoring the “Shoeless Showdown” when William & Mary’s men’s basketball team takes on Old Dominion’s Monarchs this Saturday (Dec. 1), 7 p.m. at William & Mary Hall.

Each individual coming to the game with a new pair of children’s or adult’s shoes, will receive a free ticket into the game. In addition, each person donating a new pair of shoes will also get a voucher for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich, a $10 voucher toward a new C&F checking account and a ticket to either the upcoming W&M game against Howard University on Dec. 6 or Salisbury University on Dec. 21.

To show their support, coaches from both W&M and ODU will coach barefoot. All shoes will be donated to the Williamsburg Salvation Army.

Anyone who is unable to attend the Dec. 1 game can drop off shoes at any C&F Bank in the Williamsburg area. For more information, contact Maureen Medlin, VP marketing, C&F Bank at (757) 741-2229.
