Charles City Christmas Parade

The Riders Unknown float (top) won top honors in the general float category at the 35th annual Charles City County Christmas Parade on Dec. 15. Charles City High School’s JROTC (second photo) won first for best marching unit. Members of the Black Gum Saddle Club had their horses decked out for Christmas while at very bottom, Destiny Pleasant (Miss Charles City Volunteer Fire Dept.) waves to the crowd. Other awards: Bands- 1. Washington & Lee HS, 2. Charles City HS; Marching units- 2. Richmond Elite, 3. Little Elam Baptist Church youth; Church floats- 1. Liberty Baptist. General floats- 2. Jesse’s Angels for Lupus Cure, 3. Charles City Cub Scouts. Special entry- 1. D.C. Hot Rod Club, 2. Go Hard/Go Home, 3. River City Ridaz.
