Pro rodeo tickets now on sale

Tickets for the April 27-28 Virginia Stampede Pro Rodeo at Colonial Downs, presented by Myrna’s Boots & Bits, are on sale through the track’s website.

The “Stampede,” which was held for the first time in 10 years last August at Colonial Downs, will be back on two separate weekends in 2013. The April dates are on a Saturday (7 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m.), while the summer performances are at 7:30 p.m. on both Aug. 2 and 3.

The Virginia Stampede is an IPRA sanctioned pro rodeo, and events include bareback bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, ladies breakaway roping and saddle bronc riding.

Advance ground level general admission tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under). A money-saving Family 4-Pack is available for $30 and includes a pair of adult and kids tickets, a $10 savings. Admission to the grandstand seating area is $22 ($12 for kids).

A new $50 “Stampede Party Zone” ticket includes access to the 4th floor Turf Club, Sky Suites and their respective balconies overlooking all the action, a barbecue buffet dinner and three beverage tickets.
