Free legal help available for NK seniors, disabled

New Kent’s Department of Social Services has joined with Senior Connections: The Capital Area Agency on Aging and the Williams Mullen law firm to offer free legal services to New Kent residents age 55 and over or anyone with a medical disability.

Free legal document preparation includes advance medical directives, wills (simple only), and durable powers of attorney.

Applications to reserve appointments must be completed and received by Senior Connections no later than Friday, Feb. 15. One-hour appointments with an attorney will be set for late February or early March. All legal documents will be completed and legally notarized on-site at the New Kent Department of Social Services.
