Letter to the editor: Supports building new library in Charles City

Editor’s Note: The following remarks were made by Marcus Jones before Charles City’s Board of Supervisors on Jan. 9 and submitted by Heritage Public Library.

My name is Marcus Jones. I am here on behalf of the Charles City Heritage Library.

I am a seventh grader. I have been going to the library since third grade for tutoring with Mr. and Mrs. Brackett. They have really helped me. And every time I go to the library, I’m greeted with a bunch of smiles so I think the new library will be a very good thing. Honestly, I like books so the new library is a very good idea.

I would like to thank all sponsors of the library and Mrs. Paulette, Mrs. Margaret, and Mrs. Bethane and all volunteers who have helped me so much.
