NKMS teaming with Missoula theatre group

New Kent Middle School and Missoula Children’s Theatre are presenting a production of “Beauty Lou and the Country Beast” following a week-long theatre camp scheduled for this summer.

The theatre camp runs July 15-20 with the production set for Saturday, July 20 in the middle school auditorium. Auditions will take place during the camp.

Students ages 6-17 are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Among roles to be cast are Beauty Lou, Imaginary Friend, Beast, farmhands Dusty and Slim, Fleabite Clyde the Dog, younger daughters, older daughters, country folk, and barnyard critters. Assistant directors will be cast to assist in rehearsals and work backstage.

Missoula touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props, and makeup. Missoula actors/directors will conduct rehearsals during the week from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. each day.
