Not even a light drizzle could deter the opening ceremonies of New Kent’s Relay for Life last Saturday at the New Kent High School track. During the event opening lap, cancer survivors and caregivers negotiated the wet track with ease amid fanfare from hundreds in attendance. Attendees jammed to music, visited booths, and indulged in activities overnight despite precipitation.
