Fifth in world competition

New Kent Elementary School’s Odyssey of the Mind team earned Honorable Mention with a fifth place finish at the world finals at Michigan State University on Memorial Day weekend. The group of third through fifth graders earned the honor among 55 teams both locally and internationally. Teams were scored in combined categories on long-term problem solving, style of performance, and spontaneous problem solving.
