Bronze award achieved

Girl Scout Junior Troop 177 of New Kent earned its Bronze Award by conducting a ‘Litter Awareness’ campaign. The award is the third highest that the group can achieve and had the New Kent’s Board of Supervisors declare April 13 “New Kent Litter Awareness Day”. In addition to the proclamation, members conducted an informational campaign, contributed written articles, and designed awareness posters to encourage recycling.
