Colonial Farm scholarship winners for NK named

Colonial Agricultural Education Foundation recipients for this year are (l to r) Jeannie Bradley, Hunter Davis, Caroline Evelyn, and Edward Morris.
Colonial Agricultural Educational Foundation, Inc. has selected recipients from New Kent County for its 2013 scholarship program.
Jeannie Katherine Bradley received an endowment from Henrico 4H/Henrico Extension, sponsored by Henrico 4H/Henrico Extension. She will be attending Christopher Newport University.
Hunter Edward Davis received the Larry Gay Memorial Endowment, sponsored by Virginia Grain Producers Association. He has chosen to continue his studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Caroline Hope Evelyn is a junior at Longwood University. She received the Roger Gregory Jr. Memorial Endowment, sponsored by a Friend of Roger Gregory.
Edward Seabrook Morris also received the Roger Gregory Jr. Memorial Endowment, sponsored by a Friend of Roger Gregory. He will be attending Liberty University.
The foundation was established by Colonial Farm Credit in 1990 to promote education and community enrichment through educational scholarships and to support programs and services offered by community organizations. Scholarships are awarded to individuals who exhibit an aptitude for learning and a desire for self-improvement through education.
This year’s awards totaled $82,000 and distributed to 76 students from central and eastern Virginia, as well as southern Maryland. To date, the foundation has awarded over one million dollars in scholarships.
