New Kent Gymnastics Center expanding programs to include infants

A young toddler pushes up on a gymnastics' apparatus as part of New Kent Gymnastics Center new program catering to a younger audience.
New programs are being brought to New Kent Gymnastics Center to help the development of infants.
Bright and Early, a new weekday morning program at the New Kent Gymnastics Center, focuses on preschool enrichment and infant development. Parents (nanny, grandparent. etc.) can bring
all of their children under the age of five for half-hour mini classes. Toddlers will work on fine motor skills, gymnastics, and multi-sport training. At the same time, babies will have
classes exposing them to fun tummy time, themes to nurture imagination, sensory exposure (bubbles, toys, music, colors) and varying movements.
Classes will be beneficial to parents, allowing them to practice infant massage techniques, baby sign language, and participate in a “Mommy and Me” exercise class that blends gymnastics principles, yoga, stretching, and pilates.
Many classes have all ages participating in classes including music (led by a Kindermusik certified instructor), open gym, story time, and art.
Programs are Tuesday-Friday, 9-11 a.m. Families can sign up for one class, one whole morning, or unlimited. For the working parents, Babynastics class will also be available Saturday mornings.
