More than 100 kids gathered Aug. 30 at the Charles City Social Center for Charles City Sheriff’s Office “Back-to-school Block Party.” Volunteers from the sheriff’s office, county schools, and other county departments organized bags containing school supplies and treats as students enjoyed fun activities including a bounce house and viewing a variety of police vehicles.
