The marriage of Aimee Michelle Powell and Benjamin Ayers Evelyn took place Saturday, August 31, 2013 at The Vintager Inn in New Kent with the Rev. Dr. S Paul Rowles, rector of St. Peter’s Parish, officiating.

Aimee is the daughter of Patricia and Dwight Ross of Mechanicsville and Michael and Diana Powell of Highland Springs. She is the granddaughter of Jane Seward of King William and Viola Bowers and the late Boyce Bowers of Mechanicsville.

Benjamin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evelyn Jr. of New Kent. He is the grandson of the late Lillian and Charlie Evelyn of New Kent, and the late Lucy and Lucion Stone of Montpelier.

The bride’s best friend, Mallory Hall, served as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Andrews and Ashley Powell, sisters of the bride, Laura Ortiz, Josey Conley, Alex LaPaglia, Tori Williamson, and Lauren Thomas.

The groom’s father, Charles Evelyn Jr., served as best man. Groomsmen were Charles Evelyn III and William Evelyn, brothers of the bride, Gregory Martin, Kevin Conley, Christopher Martin, Daniel Williams and Edwin Wallace. Ushers were Thomas Evelyn, Patrick Evelyn and Zachary Hyman, all cousins of the groom.

The flower girl was Taylor Evelyn, niece of the groom, and the ring bearer was Blake Wood, friend of the bride and groom.

Scripture readers were Tony Wood and Emily Anne Evelyn Wallace.

The reception immediately followed the ceremony. The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Vintager Inn.

Flowers were provided by Black Creek Flowers and Sweets, and photography was by M. Chase Narrative.

Aimee is a graduate of Randolph Macon College in Ashland and of the Bon Secours College of Nursing in Richmond. She is employed at a Bon Secours Hospital in Richmond.

Benjamin attended Ferrum College and is employed by C.H. Evelyn Pilling Company in Providence Forge as logging supervisor.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and now reside in New Kent.
