New Kent school superintendent Rick Richardson (left) accepts a $17,064.77 check from New Kent Educational Foundation representative Christopher Lindsay during Monday’s New Kent School Board meeting. The amount has been awarded as instructional grants to New Kent teachers. In all, the foundation funded 28 grant requests that were forwarded to the group by county teachers.
