National Law Enforcement honors

New Kent Sheriff's Office received 1st place recognition at both state and national levels for their participation in the 2012 Law Enforcement Challenge sponsored locally by the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police. New Kent was honored for conducting proper training for new deputies, maintaining policies, and providing information to the public. Among other tasks recognized include holding child safety seat classes and distributions, teaching a driver's education course at New Kent High School, and having zero fatal accidents in the county in 2012.
