Letter to the editor: Thanks organizations for participation and scholarship donations

New Kent Parks and Recreation would like to extend their gratitude to the following businesses, organization, and churches:

Allen Schultz, DDS, Antonio’s Pizza, Allstate – Bart Leader Insurance, Becky Ringley – State Farm Insurance, Brockwell’s Septic Service, Coastal Plains Environmental, Corinth Baptist Church, EVB – Quinton, Hopewell Baptist Church, Lee Hy Paving Corporation, Maidstone Dental, Inc., New Kent Gymnastics Center, LLC, New Kent Junior Woman’s Club, New Kent Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, New Kent Woman’s Club, Old Mill Mechanical, Rappahannock Concrete Corporation, Simmons Electrical Service, Saint Peter’s Parish Church, and Vincent Funeral Home, and Wood’s Body Shop.

These groups participated in the 2014 New Kent Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Program. The program generated over $4,000 to use towards youth, and their families, who may not otherwise be able to participate in youth sports. Please look for the group’s wind banner at various ball fields throughout the county this year.
