Habitat for Humanity Repair Corps program available to NK, CC residents
Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity has been selected to participate in Habitat for Humanity International’s Repair Corps program, an intiative funded by the Home Depot Foundation to hep repair, renovate, or construct homes of U.S. veterans.
The program is targeted towards low-income U.S. veterans living in Richmond, Chesterfield, Charles City, Henrico, and New Kent. Repairs are designated for the interior and exterior of the home and to alleviate critical health, life, and safety issues or code violations.
The homeowner does not need to be the veteran, but the veteran must have the home as a primary residence.
Approved homes are eligible for up to $15,000 in repairs with the homeowner paying a flat fee of $500.
