On April 21, Daisy Girl Scout Troop 5302 raised ladybugs from eggs and released them into the Virginia Cooperative Extension Garden in New Kent. The released insects are known for killing aphids and other garden pests to permit healthier plant growth. Troop members are (l to r), Madison Barnett, Lindsey Bruzzese, Mariah Bruzzese, Krissa Martin, and Aubrey Bull.
