Gilchrist receives Master’s degree

Torria Erica Gilchrist, a 2007 graduate from New Kent High School and 2011 graduate of Old Dominion University, received a Masters of Arts in Communicative Sciences from Hampton University during May 11 commencement ceremonies.

Gilchrist graduated Summa Cum Laude, posting a grade-point average of 3.82. She will begin working as a speech pathologist in Duval County public schools in Jacksonsville, FL.

She is the daughter of Eric and Velma Gilchrist of Providence Forge.
