New Kent Stagehands open enrollment to join

New Kent Stagehands are reaching out into the community to find new members for the talented group.

The group is seeking individuals 18 and up to help with major performances and other productions for the upcoming year. Applicants may have an on-stage talent (such as singing or acting), or work behind the scenes in areas of costume design, directing, etc. Other opportunities include promoting upcoming shows by distributing posters, or operating the refreshment stand.

No experience is necessary to join the group. Applicants are asked to email wash1791@gmail.com with your name, phone number, skills, and previous experience. Applicants may also apply in person by attending the annual picnic on July 26, 4 p.m. at Quinton Park (RSVP required through the aforementioned email).

Orientation for fall productions is Aug. 25, 7 p.m. at New Kent Middle School, with auditions on Aug. 27 and practices on Sept. 3.
