Taking the wheel at NK Fire and Rescue open house

Fifteen-month old Tyler Day takes full advantage of driving seat privileges of a fire truck during New Kent Fire and Rescue's open house on Oct. 11 in Providence Forge. Despite blustery conditions, the event garnered visitors who learned vital safety information and operations of the station. Members of Station 1 also wore pink shirts in honor of breast cancer awareness month and will continue to do so throughout October.
