Charles City Sheriff’s Office launching SWAP initiative
Charles City Sheriff’s Office has announced the launching of a new program to assists senior citizens.
S.W.A.P. (Senior Watch Accountability Program) is aimed towards checking the well-being of senior citizens in the county. In the program, a representative of the sheriff’s office will call to check on the senior citizen. If the citizen doesn’t respond, a deputy will be dispatched to the residence to check on the welfare.
Participants or their family members will be required to provide the sheriff’s office with their contact information as well as the relatives in case a problem may arise.
