Trooper Jonathan D. Miles, a resident of Charles City, was recognized by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) at the Oct. 1 banquet. Along with New Kent deputies Eric Mitchell and David Teagle, Miles received a plaque for his efforts to reduce crashes, injuries, and death related to drunk driving incidents.
