New Kent Sheriff’s Office received the first-place award in the Virginia Law Enforcement Challenge presented by the Virginia Chief’s of Police Association. The award is given to localities that strengthen and support traffic safety through methods of prohibiting impaired driving, speed awareness, occupant protection, and speaking on state and local issues.
