New Kent County Treasurer Charles Evelyn (left) is presented a recognition placard from the Treasurer’s Association of Virginia President Jeff Shafer (right) after being certified as a Master Governmental Treasurer (MGT) under the Master Certification program administered by the University of Virginia. The designation program was developed to enhance professionalism of local government officials and staff and requires a minimum of two years to complete.
