Chickahominy Health District recognized for public health emergencies preparedness
The Chickahominy Health District, which serves Charles City and New Kent, has been recognized by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) for its ability to plan, respond, and recover from public health emergencies.
The recognition is given to organizations that meet the comprehensive benchmarks required by Project Public Health Ready (PPHR), a unique partnership between NACCHOS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Reviews of the organization are assessed by the ability to meet national standards for public health preparedness and align with federal government requirements, along with other national best practices.
