Award for suicide prevention program

New Kent County Public Schools Social Worker Carolyn Kelley (third from left) and New Kent High School Principal Allison Strickland (second from left) accepts an award for their partnership with Henrico Mental Health Prevention Unit and the National Alliance of Mental Illness. The partnership, which established the “Ending of Silence” suicide prevention program, is being provided to every student at New Kent High School as well as providing resources for staff and guardians to help understand and prevent deaths by suicide.
