New Kent Public Schools receive two awards from Virginia School Board Association

New Kent County Public Schoos were recognized with two awards at the Virginia School Board Association (VSBA) conference this past week.

Quinton Elementary School in New Kent received the Gold Design Award in the 2024 Virginia School Board’s Association Exhibition of School Architecture. The award highlights a school district’s commitment to provide innovative and inspiring learning environments. Quinton Elementary School was recognized for its vibrant academic wings and collaborative learning spaces, along with the use of materials and colors in its designs.

The entire school district was recognized for its recognition for Excellence in Risk Management for student populations less than 5,000 students. The award, presented by VAcorp, honors the district’s dedication to safety, injury prevention, and overall risk management practices.
