Indian Springs Farm, with a portion of the area located on the Chickahominy River in New Kent County, is now protected through efforts by the Capital Region Land Conservancy (CRLC) and the Henricopolis Soil and Water Conservation District. The 287-acre easement whose property begins with more than a half-mile coverage along the Chickahominy River has been documented as a “Non-Riverine Wet Harwood Forest” as well as having portions of the farm being listed on the Virginia Landmarks Registry earlier this year.
