Charles City’s ‘Shop with the Sheriff’

Charles City County Sheriff’s Department conducted their annual “Shop with a Sheriff” expedition Monday afternoon at Walmart in Petersburg. The sheriff’s office, along with Charles City County’s Department of Social Services and Charles City County Volunteer Fire and EMS, treated 14 kids to a special holiday shopping spree that allowed them to choose their presents which included toys, clothes, and other gifts. In addition, five bicycles were donated by the department of social services to kids. Below, Charles City Deputy Steven Williams Jr. assists one happy shopper with picking out an outfit for the holiday season.
