Four indicted by CC grand jury

Four individuals have been indicted by a Charles City grand jury during its convening on March 5 in Charles City Circuit court. Those indicted and the charges they face are:

–Zachery Clarkston Russell, 21, of 12701 Sterling Heights Lane, Providence Forge, on two counts of distribution of heroin and one count of distribution of morphine. Russell allegedly distributed the substances around Oct. 17 of last year.

–Jonathan Mondale Crump, 41, of 6811 Courthouse Road, Providence Forge, on one count of distribution of cocaine and one count robbery. The alleged distribution offense occurred last Nov. 14 while the alleged robbery offense occurred a few days later on Nov. 20.

–Rodney Wayne Jones, 56, of 2816 Mauldlin Street, Richmond, on one count of DUI maiming, and one misdemeanor count each of DUI, driving on a suspended license, and providing false information for a police report. Jones allegedly wrecked a vehicle on Lott Cary Road on last Sept. 2, injuring a passenger, Tyrone Cox, who is Jones’ brother. Upon the arrival at the scene by Virginia State Police, Jones was found to be intoxicated and did not have proper identification.

–Kenneth Charity, 43, of 9400 Stagg Run Road, Charles City, on one count of failure to register as a sex offender (second offense). Charity received the charge from an incident that allegedly occurred on July 30 of last year.
