Norfolk man arrested for alleged abduction in Talleysville
New Kent Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Norfolk man for allegedly assaulting and abducting a female victim.
Xavier Tyler Slayton, 19, of the 900 block of Little Bay Avenue, Apt. 2, was charged with one count each of abduction, assault and battery, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct stemming from a June 26 incident.
According to the police report, deputies arrived at the Pilot Gas Station in Talleysville to find Slayton detained by store employees. Witnesses said Slayton tried to forcibly remove the victim from the store and put her into a vehicle. Deputies later discovered that the defendant knew the victim. Slayton was being held without bond.
In an unrelated incident, Nathaniel James Muzzone, 40, of the 10000 block of White Dogwood Drive, Providence Forge, was arrested and charged with one count of burglary.
According to the police report, concerned citizens alerted authorities of a suspicious situation on June 23 at a residence in the neighborhood. When deputies arrived, a window appeared smashed in, with blood around the window. Deputies searched the home, eventually finding Muzzone in an upstairs bedroom. He was detained until the homeowner arrived, with deputies taking down information. Muzzone was taken into custody after the investigation, and was being held without bond.
