Eltham man arrested on domestic charges in New Kent

A Eltham man has been arrested on charges stemming from an alleged domestic dispute over the July 4 holiday weekend.

Dennis Ray King, 53, of the 18000 block of Motel Drive, Room 111, has been charged with one count each of abduction and domestic assault.

According to the police report, New Kent deputies responded to the Washington Burgess Motel in Eltham to address a domestic dispute between a wife and husband. Once on the scene, it was determined King had abducted and assaulted his wife. He was arrested on the aforementioned charges and transported to Henrico Jail East and was being held without bond.
