New Kent man killed, three children injured in New Jersey accident
A New Kent County man died early Monday night in a three-car crash on Interstate 78 in Warren N.J., according to a report in NJ.com. The media outlet is also reporting the man’s three children, who were passengers in his car, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Kevin Hutchins, 54, and the three children, boys ages four, nine, and 11, were westbound on I-78 shortly after 7 p.m. when their 2007 Honda was rear-ended by another vehicle. Impact drove Hutchins’ car into a third vehicle. The Honda then ran off the road and struck a tree.
Hutchins reportedly died at the scene. The three children were transported to a local hospital.
