Sullivan receives nod as Democratic representative for special election
Charles City resident Kevin Sullivan has been named as the Democratic representative to challenge for the 74th House of Delegates seat in a Jan. 13 special election.
Sullivan received the nod over Henrico County school board member Lamont Bagby and Charles City Board of Supervisor member Floyd Miles Sr. during a primary election on Dec. 22.
Sullivan challenges for the vacated spot by Joe Morrisey, who resigned as a result of pressure from other members of the House of Delegates following a misdemeanor conviction. However, Morrisey and Republican candidate Matt Walton will vie for the vacated position as well.
