Quinton man dies in motorcycle accident in Richmond

A Quinton man has died as the result of an Aug. 20 traffic accident in Richmond.

According to a report from the Richmond Police Department, shortly after 1 p.m. a motorcycle was traveling westbound at the 2200 block of Semmes Avenue when the operator lost control. The report says the operator hit a power pole in the median of the roadway and then crashed in the westbound lanes.

The driver, identified as Merquan Robinson, 30, died at the scene of the accident. An investigation of the crash remains ongoing.
