New Kent grand jury hands up indictments for 17 individuals

A New Kent grand jury certified indictments against 17 people as part of Monday morning proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court:

–Lilyana Elyzabeth Ardon, 19, of the 8300 block of Yorkshire Lane, Manassas, on one count each of perjury, uttering, and selling a Schedule I/II drug. The offenses allegedly took place on July 13, 2024.

–Joseph D. Allen Brown Jr., 33, of the 6600 block of Fitzhugh Avenue, Richmond, on a solo charge of driving revoked. Brown allegedly operated a vehicle while his license was revoked on May 31, 2024.

–Floyd Ellis Chapman IV, 47, of the 4900 block of Barnetts Road, Charles City, on a single count possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The defendant allegedly possessed cocaine on Oct. 2, 2024.

–Curtis Cornelius Charity, 64, of the 7600 block of Airport Drive, Quinton, on a solo charge of felony eluding. The event allegedly took place on Oct. 7, 2024.

–Victoria Nicole Crews, 30, of the 8400 block of McClellan Road, Mechanicsville, on a lone charge of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The offense allegedly took place on Sept. 15, 2024.

–Emily Elizabeth Eanes, 23, of the 1000 block of Grub Hill Church Road, Amelia Courthouse, on a single county of possession of a Schedule I/II substance. The defendant allegedly possessed methamphetamine on Aug. 15, 2024.

–Jennifer Elaine Eleftheriou, 44, of the 11000 block of Green Oak Road, Providence Forge, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, felony child abuse, and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated while in the custody of a child. The defendant allegedly operated a vehicle while under the influence of an illegal drug with a minor as a passenger and was also allegedly in possession of oxycodone.

–William Henry Ellis Jr., 35, of the 4400 block of Old Williamsburg Road, Sandston, on two counts of felony child abuse and one count of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Ellis allegedly operated a vehicle while he was impaired and had two minors in the car as he drove it on July 27, 2024.

–Twana Yvette Jones, 59, of the 4700 block of Mountcastle Road, Providence Forge, on a solo charge of transport of a weapon by a violent felon. The offense allegedly occurred on June 20, 2024.

–Travis Orlando Kelly, 59, currently of Henrico Jail East, on a single charge of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The offense allegedly took place on Oct. 17, 2024.

–Destiny D. Leslie, 26, of the 700 block of Adams Drive, Newport News, on a single charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. The defendant allegedly drove a Chevrolet Suburban belonging to Southern Chevrolet without permission on Sept. 11, 2024.

–Thomas Bennett Luck III, 48, of the 2700 block of Patriots Landing Drive, Quinton, on one count each of abduction, misdemeanor violating a protective order (second offense), and misdemeanor contempt of court. The offenses allegedly took place on Nov. 1, 2024.

–Ronald L. Mitchell, 71, of the 4200 block of Enslow Avenue, Richmond, on one charge each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Mitchell allegedly operated a vehicle while impaired on Aug. 12, 2024, and was in possession of heroin at the time.

–Joseph R. Robinson, 43, of the 700 block of Burns Street SE, Washington D.C., on a solo charge of receiving stolen goods. Robinson allegedly received a stolen motorcycle worth more than $1,000 on July 25, 2024.

–Dylan Todd Rugar, 34, of the 4600 block of Fitzhugh Avenue, Richmond, on one charge each of bad check larceny and misdemeanor providing a false statement to obtain credit. Rugar allegedly wrote a check to $3,700 to Pressure Exterior Cleaning Services without having the proper funds.

–Mark Shevon Sandiford, 51, of the 700 block of Skipwith Road, Virginia Beach, on one charge each of forgery of a public record, misdemeanor driving suspended, and misdemeanor reckless driving. Sandiford allegedly signed a false name on a summons on Aug. 17, 2024.

–Jeron Williams, 68, of the 1700 block of Burton Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II substance and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. The defendant allegedly operated a vehicle while under the influence of cocaine on Aug. 4, 2024.
