Dorothy Hixson Stump, of Lanexa, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

She is survived by her spouse, John Daniel Stump, of Lanexa; her children, Karent Stump Reinke and husband David Reinke of Silver Spring, Maryland; John Daniel (Dan) Stump Jr., of Poolesville, Maryland, and Kenneth W. Stump and wife Leigh Carroll Stump, of Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren Jacob Reinke, Haley Stump, Aidan Stump, Owen Stump, and Abigail Stump; siblings, James Hixson of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Donald Hixson of Urbanna, Virginia, Robert Hixson of Urbanna, Virginia, and Julie Hoyle of Gloucester, Virginia; sister-in-law, Barbara Stump Clifford of Ocala, Florida; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in August in honor of her 85th birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in Dorothy’s honor. Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com.
