NKHS, CCHS announce football schedules

New Kent High School and Charles City High School have announced their 2013-2014 football schedules.

Charles City will open up at Amelia County tomorrow (Aug. 30). The Panthers will host Cumberland on Sept. 6 to open up the home slate. The Panthers, who transferred to the Tidewater District, will face powerhouse King William on Oct. 11 to begin district play.

New Kent will host the very same King William Cavaliers on Sept. 6 to begin their regular season. The Trojans will open up Bay Rivers District play on Sept. 13 as they will host York County.

2013-2014 Schedules

Charles City- Aug. 30 at Amelia County, Sept. 6 vs. Cumberland, Sept. 13 vs. Sussex Central, Sept. 20 at Franklin, Oct. 4 at Colonial Beach, Oct. 11 vs. King William, Oct. 18 vs. Middlesex (Homecoming), Oct. 25 at King & Queen, Nov. 1 at Mathews, Nov. 8 vs. West Point.

New Kent- Sept. 6 vs. King William, Sept. 13 vs. York, Sept. 20 at Jamestown, Sept. 27 vs. Grafton, Oct. 4 vs. Tabb, Oct. 11 at Smithfield, Oct. 18 at Poquoson, Oct. 25 vs. Lafayette, Nov. 1 at Bruton, Nov. 8 at Warhill.
