Fourth in conference

New Kent High School’s cheerleaders followed up their fourth place district finish with a fourth-place finish in conference competition last week. The competitive cheerleading group’s finish is the best since 2008, just missing out on a top three position and advancing to state competition. This year’s team was coached by Kristen Gibson and Lindsey Rigsby.
