Lady Trojan tennis team improves to 3-0

New Kent’s girls tennis team won three of six singles matches and two of three doubles to turn back Mathews 5-4 in a Monday encounter.

New Kent upped its unbeaten mark to 3-0 while Mathews dropped to 2-2.

Singles: Morris (NK) d. Ransone 8-4, Johnson (MHS) d. VanderPoorte 8-6, Sledd (NK) d. Hudgins 8-2, Wells (MHS) d. Ilch 8-6, Wayman (NK) d. Stewart 8-1, Wood (MHS) d Storey 8-2.

Doubles: Morris/Sledd (NK) d. Ranson/Johnson 8-3, Hudgins/Wells (MHS) d. VanderPoorte/Wayman 8-4, Williams/Miles (NK) d. Stewart/Wood 8-3.
