Panthers second in track regular season finale

Charles City’s Tyler Allen finished tied for first in the triple jump and anchored the boys’ 4×400 meter relay team as the Panthers finished second at their May 15 regular season track finale against King & Queen, Lancaster, and Thomas Jefferson.
Allen leaped 40’4” to claim a share of first in the triple jump. Allen joined Kyle Jones, Jestin Harris, and Craig McElroy in the 4×400 relay and ran a time of 3:58.20 to win the event. Charles City’s Keith Williams was the other lone event winner, taking the title in shot with a heave of 39’9”.
Lancaster boys’ won the event with 119.5 points, followed by Charles City’s 61.5, King & Queen’s 36, and Thomas Jefferson’s 11.
Charles City’s girls finished in third with 8.5 points, finishing behind meet winner Lancaster’s 116.5 and meet runner-up King & Queen’s 65.
