New Kent field hockey opens 2014-15 season with win

Caitlin McCaughan and Olivia Mehalko scored two goals apiece and Brittany LaPrade added a score in the New Kent Lady Trojans’ field hockey season opening win Wednesday at Northumberland.

The team won 5-1 on the offensive outburst. The team is scheduled to face the Indians again on Sept. 2 in their home opening contest.
