All-tournament team selections

New Kent Lady Trojan junior setter Paige Simpson (right) and senior outside hitter Madison Beasley were named to the 12-player all-tournament team following last Saturday’s 10-team volleyball tournament hosted by New Kent High. Simpson totaled 60 assists, eight kills, 13 digs, and 16 aces in New Kent’s five matches while Beasley led in points earned (38) on 25 kills and 13 aces. She also had nine digs and two assists. With their five wins in the tourney, New Kent improved to 11-4 on the season. Other teams participating were Lafayette, Poquoson, Warhill, York, Colonial Heights, Park View, Southampton, Salem-Virginia Beach, and Prince Edward.
