Charles City volleyball wins first game

Charles City’s girls volleyball team didn’t have to wait long to earn their first win of the season, picking up a victory in a Tidewater District contest.

The Lady Panthers defeated Carver High School (formerly Chesterfield Community) in straight sets on the Lady Eagles home court. The team won the final set in thrilling fashion 27-25, with Charity Jones contributing the final point to sweep the game 3-0.
