Charles City girls, boys seventh at Conference 42 championships

Both Charles City boys’ and girls’ track teams accumulated seventh place finishes at the Conference 42 Championships held on May 18 at Charles City High School.

Charles City girls scored 17 points at the meet to earn their finishing position. Cumberland took home top honors with 158 points, followed by runner-up Middlesex (118), Mathews (96), King & Queen (42), Central Lunenburg (30), and West Point (20).

Charles City boys tallied a total of 18 points in their performance. Middlesex took home the winner’s trophy with 146 points. Mathews finished in second with 121 points, followed by Cumberland (83), West Point (47), King & Queen (45), and Central Lunenburg (27).
