Allen to represent Charles City at Group 1A state track meet

Senior Tyler Allen will represent Charles City High School in two events at the Group 1A State Championships on June 3-4 at Radford University.

Allen placed third in the boys’ 400-meter dash at the Group 1A East Regional Championships at Sussex High School on May 26, running a time of 53.19. He will also participate in the boys’ long jump after finishing in fourth with a leap of 20’7.”

Allen accounted for all 10 points for the Panthers, who finished in 16th at the regional meet. Charles City girls’ team did not score in the championship. Lancaster’s girls and Middlesex’s boys’ teams won the respective championships.
