Allen finishes fifth in Group 1A boys’ 400-meter dash

Charles City’s Tyler Allen accumulated all four points for the Panthers as its lone participant in the Group 1A State Track & Field Championships this past weekend at Radford University.

Allen finished fifth in the 400-meter dash, running a time of 52.35 to earn the points. He also finished in the top ten in the long jump with a leap of 19’10½”.

Allen’s points helped the Panthers to a tie for 25th place at the meet. Auburn’s boys and girls won both state titles for Group 1A this year.
