Lady Panthers score at Group 1A/2A indoor state track and field championships

Charles City’s Lady Panthers Indoor Track & Field team scored 4.25 points to finish in 27th place at the Group 1A/2A State Track & Field Championships held Feb. 28-29 at Liberty University.

The girls’ 4×200 relay team of Jaida Braxton, Taniyah Williams, Jaela Smith, and Derequa Johnson ran a time of 1:53.86 to finish seventh in the event. Johnson also finished seventh in the girls’ 55-meter hurdles (9.70) and eighth in the girls’ high jump (4’8”).
